Forbes Lab - Evolutionary Ecology of Parasitic Insects

Forbes Lab - Summer 2015

Welcome to the Forbes Lab!

We study the evolutionary ecology of parasitic insects, with an emphasis on "true" fruit flies (Tephritidae) and parasitoid wasps.

Current research in the lab focuses on:

1) Coevolution of parasitic wasps and their host insects

2) Evolution of reproductive isolation between ecologically divergent insect lineages

3) Patterns of diversity in urban/agricultural mosaic landscapes

4) Transitions to asexuality in Hymenoptera
